To drive this future-oriented vision, we are seeking a hybrid engineering talent—someone who possesses a deep, practical understanding of physical manufacturing processes and can seamlessly bridge that knowledge with advanced digitalization and future automation initiatives. This role will act as a key catalyst in shaping the future capabilities of our plant.
This role focuses on optimizing existing manufacturing processes through data-driven analysis and Lean engineering principles. The engineer will lead plant-level digitalization initiatives and automation projects to enhance operational efficiency.
(Note: This position focuses on the continuous improvement of existing processes and excludes new process development or raw material change validation, which falls under the traditional SPE's job scope.)
About this Position
1. Process Management & Lean Optimization
- Data-Driven Management: Monitor, analyze, and manage existing manufacturing processes based on operational data
- Lean Initiatives: Identify inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement (Kaizen) projects applying Lean methodologies across the plant
- Layout Optimization: Analyze and improve plant and process layouts to maximize workflow efficiency
2. Digitalization & System Management
- Workflow Digitalization: Utilize advanced digital tools (beyond standard office applications) to streamline process analysis and daily process management
- PI and Process Data Management: Oversee the upload, configuration, and management of process data within the PI & PLC systems
- Local Initiatives: Lead small-scale, plant-level digitalization and process information-related projects
3. Project Management & Automation
- Project Leadership: Act as the Project Manager (PM) for process improvement and manufacturing automation projects
- Change Management: Lead and manage process change projects related to facility or system upgrades
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial
Engineering, Computer Engineering with successful academic record - Up to 2 years of work experience, ideally within a multinational environment
- Eager to learn, with interest in new technologies, digitization and data analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to interact
effectively with all levels of management - Strong verbal and written communication skills in the local language
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office
- Great aptitude for continuous learning and self-development
