Internship in Purchasing (Sustainability & Upstream Sourcing Excellence)

YOUR ROLE
- Assist in the development and implementation of a tool to measure CO2 emissions from various packaging materials and processes.
- Conduct research on current packaging practices and their environmental impact.
- Analyze data to identify key areas for improvement and potential CO2 reduction.
- Propose and evaluate sustainable packaging alternatives, considering factors such as cost, feasibility, and environmental impact.
- Support data transparency creation for Upstream Sourcing activities.
- Contribute to the upstream sourcing initiatives and strategy definition in coordination for all the regions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to gather information on packaging options and their sustainability credentials.
- Support the creation of reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Learn about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to sustainable packaging.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative activities to contribute ideas and solutions.
YOUR SKILLS
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Economics, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Packaging, or a related field.
- Fluent in English; both oral and written.
- You have good knowledge of MS Office, Power Point and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot table etc.), knowledge of SAP is a big plus.
- Proactive, curious, and enthusiastic to understand our business.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and CO2 measurement tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of plastic resin and paper is a plus.
- You have an analytical approach and know how to translate complex data into a simple overview.
- Ability to take on a high level of responsibility and put the knowledge gained during studies into practice.
- Available full-time from December 1st for 6 months.
